Today we had another
test before exams but still, I thought it was easy. I only used François Hollande
once and never had France for any of the answers, oh well. Im not good at
geography so I might have gotten all of those questions wrong. I could have sworn
I had the bonus question because I saw something on buzzfeed about Justin
Trudeau welcoming Syrian refugees but I think the answer was Israel, not
Canada. Oh well, I could have done better but im feeling pretty confident as of
now, hopefully.

World Leaders Up Close and Pesonal
To continue last week’s project, today in class we learned more
about these world leaders.
Brazil’s leader
President Dilma Rousseff runs a federal republic office. She was divorced
twice. She also has a degree in economics. This is the reason why Brazil has
the 8th biggest economy. She also was imprisoned for going against
the government when she was younger. She had chemotherapy in 2009. This means
she’s had 2 near death experiences.
The president of China, Xi Jinping leads a
communist office. He is the son of revolutionaries. He is also married to a
popular folk singer who was more popular then him before they were married. His
daughter is enrolled in Harvard.
President Francois
Hollande, of France also runs a republican office. He had no previous government
experience. He would be as you could say the “antidote” to the last flamboyant
president. He is not married to the mother of his 4 children.
In Germany Chancellor
Angela Merkel leads a federal republic government. She has a degree in physics
and a PhD in quantum chemistry. She has been chancellor for about 20 years and
one of FORBES most powerful woman for about 8 of them.
Next we have India.
President Pranab Mukherjee was a college professor. He was also a journalist
and now he is one of the best politicians in the world. He knows finance and
politics.
In Israel the Prime Minister,
Netanyahu, who runs a parliamentary democracy is from Israel. He spent a lot of
time in the US. He sent a message in his time of power NOT to mess with Israel.

Test Talk 4
What did we do today in
class? Well, it was another test talk day with my new favorite shadow Hannah. She
answered a question while emitting 4 word she didn’t know how to pronounce, it
was hilarious. You had to be there man…
I did okay on the test
but I could have done better. In in tech for a show right now and it’s really
kicking my butt. Enough of my excuses, but I could have done better.
I need to study the religions
more because that’s what really dragged me down on that test except for my own
stupidity.
p.s. MR. SCHICK THE QUEEN OF ENGLAND HAS CORGIS NOT YORKIES!

Cultural Geography
Cultural characteristics are taught by friends and
family. They can link and divined. Some of these may include language, religion,
and ethnic background.
For example language can be varied in
different places. Spanish dominates most of south America but in brazil they
speak Portuguese. In Switzerland they have 4 different national languages but
still accept it.
Ethnic background can cause a problem. For example
the Hutus and the Tutsis. They are basically always in a war.
Basically everything can make or break
somewhere. Especially religion. Cultural geography is very important to make or
break a certain place.

How is the world

A country is an
identifiable area of land. You can see the country on a map.
A Nation is a
population of people. This population, or group of people, has a common
culture. These people have a shared identity.
States are also
