Test Talk 6

Today we had a test and I feel like I didn’t well on it. Im hoping I got and good solid 85, if im going to be honest with you. My favorite thing is the prayer we have before tests, even though sometimes it does not help me to do my best.

I feel good about the test though. I learnt most of what we learned this week in 7th and 8th grade because I was at a magnet school. I chose to go into the magnet of environmental geography. This ended up becoming S.E.A.S where we would learn about pollution, green resources and green architecture.

Study Hall

Today in class we had a study hall. This was probably a good idea because I have 2 tests today and 3 tomorrow. On the down side, I am hungry and tired. Pray for me and my test taking abilities. Now I will repeat the same paragraph J

bILL BILL BILL BILL

Okay everyone, let’s be real here, we need more Bill Nye’s in the world. He is serious about teaching everyone about climate change.

Bill Nye is a science educator, writer, scientist, mechanical engineer, inventor, and an amazing swing dancer. He is a shockingly good illustrator who teaches through his drawings and informative videos.

Cows Fart, Deal with it.

Fact: Cows fart. Cows are ruminants. They chew their cud, they have several stomachs and they eat almost all day long. Everytime one of these animals pass gas methane is released into the air. This methane causes pollution.

The real cause for pollution is humans. These cows are only here, and over populating because people like meat. We, as the human race, use lots of space for lots of corn. This corn is used to feed cows instead of a better use for the human race.

Global Warming Continued

How concerned should we be about climate change? This simple answer is very. Global warming has gotten pretty bad. As I stated in the previous blog entry, ocean levels are in fact rising.
The old thing we talked about in class today was large oil companies covering up global warming. Maybe these oil companies don’t want people to worry so these people will keep buying their oil products. Global warming is real, it is not a myth, it is science!

Here’s another question, Why do we have to deal with other generations trash? Our generation was not the only one who created pollution. Yet, after all this time of pollution I feel my generation is the one put in charge of cleaning it up. This is crazy. No matter how much you inform us about how pollution is killing the world, some people just simply will not care.

First Day Back From Break

Climate change is a long term change with massive and permanent ramifications. Over the last 2.5 million years climate change has fluctuated. But, in the last 100 years the climate has raised 1.2-1.4 degrees Fahrenheit.
What has caused climate change and global warming? 97% of scientists believe it’s not because of the earth’s orbital rotations but instead human interaction. This human activity includes the burning of fossil fuels. Greenhouse gases are emitted from these fossil fuels. The greenhouse effect traps heat in the atmosphere therefore causing global warming.
What is the biggest factor of the Earth being effected? The Oceans are being most effected by global warming. The increase of temperature is putting marine life and the food web at risk. With sea levels rising, due to the melting of glaciers and icebergs, civilization is in danger of hurricanes and flooding.

How can we prevent further climate change. We can only do so much, because the damage as of now is permanent. We can help by recycling, eating less meat, using less fossil fuels and even by simply spreading the word.
